Before you take any of BOC's exams, please send in your application (including required documentation). If you're not sure what you need, review the certification program you want to pursue or contact a member of the Certification Team at cert@bocusa.org.

Scheduling Your Exam

Once you receive notification from BOC that you're ready to take the certification exam(s), you can schedule your multiple-choice exam and/or clinical simulation exam with our test facilitator, AMP. Your notification letter will include instructions on contacting AMP to let them know your preferred testing location and your preferred testing date.

For your convenience, AMP offers two testing times per day; one at 9:00AM and one at 1:30PM. Some locations also offer exams at these times on Saturdays. Candidates taking computer-based exams no longer have to wait for an exam window and will receive their results immediately as they walk out of the testing facility. For more information on what to expect at your AMP testing facility, watch the AMP Candidate Experience video .

To contact AMP directly, call 888.519.9901.

Locate Your Nearest Testing Center

Exams are given at H&R Block locations, with over 120 testing sites available nationwide. To locate your nearest testing location, choose your program:

Select “locate testing centers” in the navigation menu that appears on the right side of the screen. Then, use the interactive map or search by zip code to find locations near you.

Note: To reserve your exam preferences, contact AMP at least four business days prior to your preferred date. Some exam locations fill up quickly, so please register early.

Prepare for Your Exam(s)

Our exam preparation resources page offers a variety of study materials to help you get ready for your certification exam.

For Orthotist and Prosthetist Certification Candidates

If you are a candidate for the Orthotist or Prosthetist exam, you will need to independently complete and submit a Video Practical Exam (VPE). Please review the VPE instructions for your certification program, which provide detailed recording directions, procedure requirements, and scoring and submission information:
