BOC Board Announces 2026 Executive Committee and New Members

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (Dec. 10, 2025) –The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) proudly announces the Board of Directors’ 2026 Executive Committee and the election of two new Board members.

Members of the BOC Executive Committee for 2026 include:

  • Chair: Daniel Griffis III, PharmD, pharmacist-in-charge at Rainbow Drugstore in Brunswick, Georgia
  • Vice-Chair: Angela Presley, Ph.D., BOCPD, COF, program manager of entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire
  • Secretary: James “Jim” Mathers, COF, LOF, DME coordinator at Bucks County Orthopedic Specialists in Warrington, Pennsylvania
  • Treasurer: L. Bradley “Brad” Watson, BOCO, BOCP, LPO, past president and regional manager at Clarksville Limb and Brace Inc., a Bionic Company in Clarksville, Tennessee
  • Member-at-Large: Rick Todd, COF, president and managing partner at Collier & Laurence Orthotics & Prosthetics in Sacramento, California
  • Immediate Past Chair: Cameron Stewart, BOCO, BOCP, co-founder of Alcam Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics in Riverside, California

“Since joining the BOC Board of Directors in 2018, I have gained a deeper understanding of our industry, and it is an honor to serve as Chair,” said Daniel Griffis III, PharmD. “As a pharmacist and long-time advocate for community health, I have witnessed firsthand how BOC’s standards elevate our profession. I look forward to helping guide BOC’s continued growth and success.”

 

Welcoming New Board Members:

Milton R. Reed, BOCO, BOCPD, LPO joins the BOC Board as a dedicated professional with more than two decades of experience in orthotic and prosthetic (O&P) care. He is a practice manager and O&P practitioner for Atlanta Medical Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. Previously, he worked for a variety of O&P practices and also served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) for 11 years. Reed earned his undergraduate degree in health science from Florida Metropolitan University and attained his orthotist (BOCO) and pedorthist (BOCPD) credentials from BOC in 2004.

“I’ve always desired to play a bigger role in BOC’s future,” said Reed. “I’ve been a BOC-certified clinician throughout my entire career, and my credentials have opened many doors for me. It’s a privilege to join the Board of Directors, and I am committed to using my experience to help advance BOC’s mission.”

 

 

 

John W. “Sion” Owen, Jr., BOCPD, CDME is the owner of Solutions Orthocare Group, LLC DBA Foot Savi, a medical boutique in Columbia, South Carolina. Owen has more than three decades of experience in allied health care and durable medical equipment (DME), including leadership roles in medical supply and pharmacy settings. Owen earned his graduate degree from the International Seminary and his undergraduate degree from Belmont University. He previously served on the BOC Board from 2017 to 2020.

“As both an allied health care professional and a small business owner, I can lend a unique perspective as BOC moves forward,” said Owen. “The COVID-19 pandemic significantly reshaped our industry, and with more changes on the horizon, I believe it is critical to continue advocating for our profession. Rejoining the Board gives me an opportunity to highlight the growing importance of certification and accreditation in ensuring that health care professionals and businesses meet the evolving needs of the communities they serve.”
