BOC Continues to Enhance Team Following Another Year of Growth

Organization welcomes new Credentialing Director, congratulates new Compliance Manager

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (March 14, 2019) –The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) is pleased to announce the addition of Matthew Gruskin, MBA, BOCO, BOCPD as its new Credentialing Director. Matt Dickinson, a BOC Business Development Specialist since 2016, accepted a new role as Compliance Manager.

These additions are part of BOC’s growth plan and forward-thinking succession strategy as longtime BOC staff member Wendy Miller, BOCO, LO, CDME plans for a reduction in her work schedule and possible early retirement. As Miller transitions to the role of Special Assistant to the CEO, she will also play an integral part in the onboarding of Gruskin in his new position as Credentialing Director.

Gruskin comes to BOC with nearly a decade of experience in the O&P field, most recently serving as Director of Orthotic Operations for a chain of more than 20 O&P clinics. As Credentialing Director, Gruskin is responsible for leading the direction, strategy, policies and day-to-day operations of BOC’s facility accreditation and individual certification programs, with a focus on growth and ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service. He holds an MBA with a focus in healthcare from Florida International University, post graduate certificates in O&P from University of Hartford and post graduate certificate from the International School of Pedorthics.

Dickinson’s 12 years of exceptional sales and customer service experience make him a valuable member of BOC’s compliance team. Serving as Business Development Specialist for the past three years, Dickinson has extensive experience talking with customers and understanding their needs and challenges. His unique perspective will help guide BOC’s customer experience and enhance compliance programs. In his new role as Compliance Manager, Dickinson is responsible for ensuring customer compliance with all accreditation and certification eligibility criteria. This responsibility includes oversight of policies and procedures, review of site surveyor reports and completion of accreditation site visits. Dickinson holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

“As BOC continues to grow, I am elated to welcome two experienced professionals to our credentialing leadership team,” says BOC President & CEO Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE. “Their expertise allows for a seamless transition for our customers as Wendy begins the exciting next chapter in her career.”
