BOC Wins Second Stevie Award

Stevie Award 2014The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) won a Stevie Award for Sales & Customer Service in the “Best Use of Technology in Customer Service” category. This was the second consecutive year BOC was honored with a Stevie Award. Winners were announced Friday, February 21st at the eighth annual Stevie® Awards ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. BOC was recognized for its exceptional integration of technology and customer service and shared this honor with other international companies, including DHL Express Worldwide, Delta Air Lines, and Salesforce.

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards. Some of the award shows facilitated by the Stevie Awards organization include the American Business AwardsSM and International Business AwardsSM. Last year, BOC won a Stevie Award in the Sales & Customer Service in the Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, and Related Industries category.

The awards were presented to honorees during a gala banquet at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. More than 470 nominated customer service and sales executives from around the world were in attendance. Over 1500 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted to this year’s competition, an increase of 36% over 2013. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 129 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges. 

BOC President and CEO, Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, said, “Our pledge to ‘be with our customers every step of the way’ was the driving force behind the technological improvements we’ve made to our website. Since exceptional customer service is a fundamental value embraced by every BOC team member,  we are especially grateful for this recognition.”

BOC’s submission was titled “Customers Come First at BOC,” and the entry highlighted the website improvements employed to optimize customer service; specifically the myBOC and continuing education portals. These website upgrades were engineered to provide BOC’s customers with a personalized experience when selecting continuing education opportunities and tracking their credits. BOC takes great pride in offering the best customer service in the industry and these improvements have been well-received by its certificants.
